Polyester

Polyester is a synthetic material

Wood is a natural material of plant origin. It is made up of a plant tissue forming the most part of the trunk of woody plants.

Common technical defects known to the wood include cracks with gelling, russet, cadranure, chapping and internal cracks. Changes in the chemical composition of the trees can lead to abnormal coloration of the heart: black heart for ash or oak red in particular. This makes it its originality to be able to design various and varied buttons.

Polyester buttons are a relatively modern reality. In France, polyester fiber and resin appeared in the 1950s. The polyester was patented by two British chemists in 1941 and bought by the Americans in 45.
